How to Convert Numbers to Words = Reading and writing numbers is easy and you can very simply convert numbers into words. To be able to convert numbers to words, you need to have a complete understanding of place values. By now you should know that every digit in the number has a unique value. Without place values, numbers hold no meaning. When dealing with numbers on the left side of the decimals, the smallest place value is the units place and for digits on the right side of decimal, the highest place value is tenth. Now, consider a number 325. If you can identify the place values of each of the digits in this number, you can easily convert it into words. In this number, 5 sits at the unit place, 2 sits at the tens place, and 3 sits at the hundreds place. Which means the number is made of 3 hundred, 2 tens, and 5 units. We can write this number as; 100 + 100 + 1000 + 10 + 10 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 300 + 20 + 5 = 325 You can convert this number into words as three hundred and twenty-five.
