What Are Decimals Values?

A dot or decimal, as we commonly call it in mathematics, is not merely a simple dot but holds significance. In algebra, a decimal number is defined as the number which is divided into two parts, one art the whole number and the other a fractional part, and the complete number is divided by a simple dot or decimal. The number is not basically divided, but merely separated by the decimal. The digits after the decimal point show a value which is less than one. The numbers that we use daily do not have decimals in them. Sometimes the decimal point is always used to separate the one unit from the other, for example, to separate the dollars from the cents, we use decimal, to differentiate between inches and meters, we can use decimal. As you move to the right of the decimal point, you will see that each number place is divided by 10.
