Geometric Congruence Worksheets

What is Geometric Congruence? Geometry is one of the most fun parts of Math. Even though it looks complicated, there are many definitions that are fun to learn and fun to use when solving problems. Do you know what geometric congruency is? Let us jump right in! Before anything, let us first recall what congruency is. When two objects are exactly the same, their sizes, lengths, shapes, angles, and everything else are the same; it is known as congruency. Now, what is geometric congruency? Geometric congruency is referred to as objects being congruent, if they have the same shape and size, or if one has the same shape and size as the mirror image of the other. For example: Two-line segments are congruent if they have the same length. Two angles are congruent if they have the same measure. Two circles are congruent if they have the same diameter.

  • Basic Lesson

Guides students through finding missing sides in triangles and constructs. Triangle PQR is congruent to triangle UVW with PQ"UV. If PQ = 2x + 8, and UV = 4x - 6,find the value of x.

Demonstrates the various features and applications of congruence. AAA can be used in proving triangles congruent? In triangle prove A represents the angle and S represents the Sides AAA shows that triangles shape can be same and may be similar size. But it does not guarantee that they have same size.
