Recognizing Congruent Triangles Worksheets
How to Recognize Congruent Triangles Congruence is the term used to describe an object and its mirror image. We call objects as congruent when they can be superimposed on each other. Two triangles are said to be congruent when they have the same measures of angles and same lengths. These triangles can be superimposed on each other angle to angle and side to side. We can define the congruency of the triangle by measuring the angles and the sides of the triangle. Below we have discussed the rules of defining the congruency of the triangle: SSS (Side-Side-Side) - Two triangles are said to congruent when all three sides of one triangle are equal to the three sides of the corresponding triangle. SAS (Side- Angle- Side) - Two triangles are said to be congruent when two sides and the included angle of the triangle are equal to the corresponding two sides and included angle of the second triangle. ASA (Angle-Side-Angle) - Two triangles are said to be congruent when two angles and the included sides are equal to the corresponding two angles and the included side of the second triangle. RHS (Right angle- Hypotenuse-Side) - Two right-angled triangles are said to be congruent when a hypotenuse and the side of one triangle are equal to the corresponding side and hypotenuse of the second right-angled triangle.
